When placing your ad, you are given the opportunity to place your ad in a relevant section e.g. Dogs. You can check this by clicking on Edit ad in the green box on the home page.

Sections are broken down into more relevant categories e.g. Labradors. To ensure your ad is in the correct category make sure to reference the category in the Brief Description or Description of your ad. You can change these by clicking Edit ad.

DoneDeal’s internal search engine places your ad in suitable sub sections based on the text in your ad. If your ad doesn’t contain accurate information our system won’t be able to automatically place it in the correct section or sub section.

For example, if you want your Labrador puppies to go in the Labrador section, make sure to include the word Labrador in the text of your ad.
